I think Neil & I are starting to hear what we want to hear come out of Rubi. The other day we both swore we heard "ah it's good to be home". And now tickle? I think we are loosing our minds. We'll whether or not she said it we're always looking forward to what we might "hear" next.

Finally, Rubi's hair has gotten long enough to pull it back. It's still stands up straight, but now with a pretty bow we won't hear "oh what a handsome little boy"...hopefully.

Yes, i realize to Rubi everything is "momma", but it still makes my day every time i hear it.

You can tell if Rubi likes her meal by the face she makes after a bite. Also, she now realizes when she exhales the food splatters all over...
Dinner is a little messy at our house, but Rubi seems to like it that way.

new!

Rubi's fourth tooth has broken through & for the last 24 hours "momma" has come out of her mouth as least 100 times. It's safe to say this is Rubi's first word. (she has said momma, dadda before; it seems she is now saying momma intentionally)

I think Rubi was fascinated with Uncle Denzel. He got to sit with her for a whole 5 min. before she started crying for mom & dad (which is longer than most people last).

eight months old!

It's hard to believe that our Rubi is now 8 months old. She is very much on track with all of the milestones, Rubi is wearing a size 12 months in pants, she loves solid food (especially anything orange), she likes remote controls & cell phones, she has three teeth (with the fourth not far behind), she crawls...backwards, instead of crying for her midnight snack she often sings, instead of having to walk her to sleep a simple scratch on the back works now, she loves standing (so much that she buckles her legs so we can't sit her down), Rubi still has a pretty big fear of strangers, she still prefers to be held...all of the time, & she's doing really well at day care.

Third tooth!

It's official Rubi now has three teeth!
