a day in the life of a 10 month old

HAPPY 10 MONTH BIRTHDAY RUBI!

first i wake sleeping beauty from her slumber...

then when it looks like she may hop out of the crib herself, i grab her and we're off to get dressed.

"hmmm, what should i do with my hair today?"




"come on ma i'm ready to go!"

Finally at school!

I can imagine it's very hard work being a 10 month old, and i'm sure Rubi would agree. We look forward to what the next 2 months have to offer, before the big ONE comes!

bike ride!

Finally! Monday with a "warm" 55 degree day, we decided to all go for a bike ride. Rubi's 2nd of the new year. While she doesn't exactly seem to LOVE the buggy she doesn't hate it either.

the start of a drummer...

Sunday, Daddy decided he should start teaching Rubi the basics of drumming. This went pretty well...for about 5 minutes, Rubi quickly realized it was more fun to eat the drum sticks, than actually playing with them.

There have been plenty of changes in the last couple of weeks...
Rubi can stand for about 2 min. at a time, while holding on to something. She still loves to eat all things orange, and her new favorite drink is carrot juice (what a surprise). Rubi also just got her 6th tooth!

Rubi loves her puffs...in fact we now have a hard time feeding her baby food, if she sees her puffs she cries until we give them up.

9 month check up.

Well today Rubi is 9 months & 5 days old. Friday she had her check up. She weighs 21 lbs 3 oz., and she's 28 1/2 inches long, she also has 5 teeth now. Rubi is still a very mellow and well behaved baby; sleeping through most nights, she's laughing constantly, playing very well with other babies, eating just about everything she's given, & always demanding to be in bed by at least 7:00 (if not earlier) every night. Although she's still not walking or crawling, it's fun just to watch her try.
