Rubi is not the biggest fan of getting her picture taken these days, and candid shots are almost impossible to get. Fortunately she still feels photogenic while taking a tub. When she's sixteen and asks why all of the framed photos in the living room are of her in the bathtub, I'll refer her to this post.

Visit.

We had the pleasure of spending part of our Sunday with Harrison.

Harrison really enjoyed spending time with Rubi, he thought she was very entertaining.

(I've never met such a photogenic child, SO JEALOUS)

tisk tisk tisk

Rubi jumping on the bed...cause it's cute.

more snow...

Friday morning we got around 11 inches of snow, so we took the day off and enjoyed what mother nature had to offer.

A side of Rubi that usually only her parents get to see...

SNOW BEARD.

Rubi lent a helping hand to her father, who then received a helping hand from our new favorite neighbor...the one with the snow blower.

Tasting the snow...

regretting that decision.

AHH SNOW!!

We got around 6 inches of snow today. Since this was the first (and most likely the last) big snow fall of the year, we definitely wanted to make the most out of the day. It took a little time to convince Rubi to go out and play...shocking, i know.

Rubi's cousins Tori and Tommy love the snow. We decided to take a trip to Aunt Tawnee's house to see if this would rub off on Rubi.

It started a little rocky....

After seeing all the fun Tori was having, Rubi decided to try again.

(Originally I was on the sled, Rubi quickly reminded me i was "TOO BIG"...over and over and over again.)

Once Rubi figured out she wasn't going to melt when the snow touched her, she let loose and had fun.

Our child is no longer scared of the white stuff. Next step sand and dirt...one thing at a time i suppose.

Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve we got to see some friends from out of town.

Everyone was as thrilled as we were to see Harrison.

Christmas Morning; part 2

Rubi's first gift at Grammy's house was a new ornament for our tree. "Where The Wild Things Are" is one of Rubi's favorite books, she was thrilled with this gift.

Throughout the entire morning at Grammy's house, when Rubi was excited about a gift she would sit back, gasp, and say "Ohh, this is my favorite".

Once again, we had a wonderful Christmas. At the end of the day Rubi looked at me and said "Mommy, I am so happy".

Christmas Morning; part 1

Christmas morning went really well at our house. Rubi woke up around 5:45 am and didn't realize it was Christmas. Once we reminded her, she hopped out of bed. Above is a picture of our first Christmas gift from Rubi. As you can imagine, we were thrilled..the best gift we've ever received.

Thank you Uncle Kyle and Aunt Alana for giving Rubi the gift that gave us this expression.

All morning, Rubi wanted Mommy and Daddy to open her gifts...once they were opened she would exclaim "Oh my Gawwsh".

After a fantastic morning we headed off to Grammy and Pop Pop's house.

TIMBER.

Needless to say, after your tree falls over more than once, it no longer stands on its own. Ours is now propped up in the corner of our Living Room.
