Christmas Morning part 2

Rubi's 2nd Christmas Morning was at Grandma & Grandpop's house.

(above) Rubi saying Happy Holidays to her favorite penguin.

Yes, that's Rubi wearing a tiara, dripping in pearls. After she puts on her crown, she seemed to be a little more demanding.

Grandma & Grandpop got Rubi a Barbie four wheeler for Christmas (among many, many more toys). She wanted so badly to stop and get off...but she couldn't help pushing that red button (maybe the tiara was burring her thoughts).

Christmas morning part 1

Christmas Morning started around 8:00 am, we're lucky i know.

Rubi was very excited to open presents, and very careful with every gift.

After about 5 presents, she was about to call it a day...

Then she saw her Gabba gifts, and decided she would keep tearing open her presents.

Early Christmas

We Celebrated (an early) Christmas with some family this weekend...which Rubi loved (shocking, i know).

Rubi & her cousin Tori "getting along" as usual.

Rubi, Tori, & Uncle Jesse. Rubi must have been in the holiday spirit, otherwise this picture would have NEVER happened.

Dad & Rubi playing Rock band...we didn't see much of Dad on Sunday.

Aunt Lacey, and Rubi's cousin Jayda (Ms Claus).

Rubi's cousin Tommy thrilled with a robotic dinosaur.

This poor dog put up with 3 young girls, 5 loud little boys, and a showering of wrapping paper...all with that careless attitude only Perdita could keep.

What a good dog.

Rubi was thrilled with all of her gifts this year, which excited Neil and me. She was happy to unwrap all of the gifts, and happy to shout at us until we opened them.

awhh.

A nap-less Rubi spent most of the afternoon in the inflatable duck-tub (which we had to get rid of because she was terrified of it). My, how things change.

Rubi and Tori then bonded over hitting the duck over the head, until it quacked.

I think this was a very successful early Christmas party. Rubi was nice to other children (and Uncle Jesse), Neil got to play plenty of Rock Band, and i had the chance to take a lot of pictures.

let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Yesterday it snowed in NEPA, about 6 inches in our backyard.

We took this opportunity to let Rubi play in the snow. Last year she was able to observe kids sleighing...and cried until we took her inside.

To our surprise, this year she was one of those freezing, crazy, snow-loving children (this is a kid who doesn't even like the feeling of grass).

(more, more was the word of the day)

Happy Birthday Taylor

Last Sunday, we went to Aunt Tawnee's house, to celebrate Taylor's Birthday.

Rubi and her cousin Tori re-introducing themselves to each other.

Tristen & Rubi's cousin Tommy.

Well it appears that Rubi is playing very nicely with these other children....

until we turn our backs, and see Tori making the "get this child out of my living room" face.

Happy 20th...i mean 10th Birthday Taylor!

These days Rubi screams and yells when i pull out the camera...but once she gets in that bathtub she has no problem being the little ham we all know and love.

18 months old

On November fifth, Rubi turned 18 months old. Rubi can be summed up in one word...dramatic. Everything this little girl does is very, very BIG and LOUD. She has recently fallen in love with a pink tutu and a sock monkey. Her favorite expression seems to be "no". She loves following Mommy and Daddy around, shouting "NO NO NO", while pointing her finger sternly at us. This is now something Rubi routinely does when she is reprimanded. Her favorite "foods" are: fried onions, mushrooms, rice, plain pasta, & anything your eating in front of her (even if she has the same food on her plate, it's much more appetizing on your plate).

Rubi now makes "funny faces" (thank you yo gabba gabba). These faces occur while in the grocery store, eating at a restaurant, while she's quietly sitting in the backseat of the car...everywhere!

it's hard to believe that 9 months ago she looked like this...

Everyday with Rubi brings something new and hilarious, we're very lucky to have this little girl.

Halloween (i know im late)

Rubi's Halloween was spent trick or treating at Grandma's work. That is until a 7 year old spider man scared this lion right out of the building...

(above is the cowardly lion)

before Rubi called it a day...she stopped to smell the ehh bushes.
