November!

60 degree weather in NEPA in November is almost unheard of, we took advantage with a trip to our favorite park.

This is the newest member of our family. His name is Deuce. He's one month older than Rubi. He's a former showdog...and pretty much the best dog in the world. Unfortunately Cooper had to be placed with a different family due to his love of carpets, couches, molding, toys, and pretty much all things not on the menu. Deuce has been a great addition to the house, Rubi really loves him already (not eating her toys has scored him MAJOR points).

Halloween

On Halloween night we handed out candy, Rubi was a little scared of the kids at the door. At one point, she ran away yelling, "The children are coming!" It took some convincing (thank you Grammy and Pop Pop), but she eventually went out trick-or-treating. Once we were out collecting candy it was hard to get her back in the house.

Rubi had no problem picking out her costume this year, she was Scooby Doo...and that was it!

This year Rubi was a pro at her school's Halloween parade. She marched in line, knew all of the words to the songs, and didn't cry at all. When Neil and I asked if she wanted us to go back to class with her, she said no thanks...BYE.

This was Rubi first experience on a pony. She did a fantastic job.

Labor Day Weekend

Rubi helping Kyle put candles on the burger cake. If he wasn't her favorite person before this moment, he quickly became her favorite.

Rubi spent most of the cookout following Kyle around the house. If he wasn't within eye sight, Rubi would ask everyone...hey, where did kyle go?

Harrison popped in for a visit this weekend. Most of the time he was at our house, Rubi tried to convince him that he really didn't want to play with any of her toys.

Monday we (again) went to Kirby for a leisurely bike ride and to walk around the park.

my twenty something...

All week, we've made it a point to get to a park everyday. It's been 85 degrees and sunny for the past couple of days, we didn't want to waste the last few weeks of summer inside the house. Yesterday we went on a long bike ride to the park.

This is very similar to my face on the monkey bars.

I didn't really notice while taking this picture just how big Rubi really is. Now, I realize there is absolutely no baby left in this toddler. Rubi is growing like a weed, she is taller than most of the children in her class. Occasionally she lets her crazed mother cradle her like a baby and rock her to "sleep". Yes, my baby is all grown up crazy.

Every time we are at this particular park, Rubi runs up to this viewing post and shouts "There's an animal in trouble!" For those of you who don't have the pleasure of watching at least an hour of Nickelodeon a day, this is a quote from the Wonder Pets.

MY BABY!
