Please Touch Museum

Saturday, we had the itch to leave town. We headed to Philadelphia to meet up with some friends at the Please Touch Museum. This was our first time at the museum and will not be the last. It took around three hours to explore, which was pretty fast. From Wonderland to the space shuttles, the place was fantastic. The whole family enjoyed the day, one of our last trips as a family of three.

Exploring the waterways with Dad.

Rubi telling the swan about the duck that was sharing her nest.

Jess and Harry.

Rubi visiting each fairytale.

Dad, Harrison, and Rubi in Wonderland.

apparently, licking the phone is how we get it to work.

Playing doctor in the children's hospital.

As soon as Rubi heard there was a McDonalds in the museum, she ran toward the arches. Once she realized she had to prepare her own food and that the food was actually rubber, the excitement faded.

"Baking" bread.

Dad teaching Rubi about gravity.

The Rocket Room held Rubi's attention the longest. Children could actually build and shoot their foam rockets across the room. Us parents just cowered in the corner, except for Neil...he loved this room, and had just as much fun as Rubi.

Hopscotch in the clouds.

Rubi and Dad with Lady Liberty's arm, made entirely out of (trash) found items.

Handsome Harry, Jessica, and Geoff.

The carousel was the last stop at the museum. With so much to see, the carousel was nice and very relaxing (which a 7 month pregnant Mom was very happy with).

Rubi saw this cut out and decided we NEEDED a picture in it, she was right!

Daddy, Rubi, Geoff, Harrison, and Jessica.

After the museum we grabbed dinner, headed to the park and topped the night off with the best ice cream i've ever tasted...Rubi enjoyed it too.

Bikes and Slides.

It was (finally) warm enough to take a walk through the park this weekend. We decided to use this as an opportunity to see if Rubi had any more interest this year in riding her bike.

Turns out, she's actually enjoyed riding her bike!
