Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve we got to see some friends from out of town.

Everyone was as thrilled as we were to see Harrison.

Christmas Morning; part 2

Rubi's first gift at Grammy's house was a new ornament for our tree. "Where The Wild Things Are" is one of Rubi's favorite books, she was thrilled with this gift.

Throughout the entire morning at Grammy's house, when Rubi was excited about a gift she would sit back, gasp, and say "Ohh, this is my favorite".

Once again, we had a wonderful Christmas. At the end of the day Rubi looked at me and said "Mommy, I am so happy".

Christmas Morning; part 1

Christmas morning went really well at our house. Rubi woke up around 5:45 am and didn't realize it was Christmas. Once we reminded her, she hopped out of bed. Above is a picture of our first Christmas gift from Rubi. As you can imagine, we were thrilled..the best gift we've ever received.

Thank you Uncle Kyle and Aunt Alana for giving Rubi the gift that gave us this expression.

All morning, Rubi wanted Mommy and Daddy to open her gifts...once they were opened she would exclaim "Oh my Gawwsh".

After a fantastic morning we headed off to Grammy and Pop Pop's house.

TIMBER.

Needless to say, after your tree falls over more than once, it no longer stands on its own. Ours is now propped up in the corner of our Living Room.

Happy Thanksgiving.

We are incredibly thankful to have Rubi in our life. This charming, dramatic, hilarious, beautiful little girl brings happiness into our world every day.

Happy Thanksgiving.

The cutest parade EVER.

This year Rubi was old enough to partake in her first Halloween parade at school. Apparently the kids practiced all week walking in circles around the class room and singing Halloween songs. Rubi dressed up as PLEX the magic robot from (what else) Yo Gabba Gabba.

We were told if Rubi started to cry when she saw us, we were to jump in the parade and walk with her. This is was great because both Neil and I had the opportunity to walk with her.

Around 10:30 Rubi...ahem - Plex looked very tired, and while the other children were singing songs Rubi decided to sit on Grammy's lap to take a little break.

When the parade ended the kids returned to their class room's for their Halloween party.

pumpkin carving.

This year was yet another first for Rubi, carving pumpkins.

The carving was a success, because there are actual faces on our pumpkins.

Hello Harrison.

Last weekend we went to Philadelphia to visit Harrison Wayne Rittenhouse (aka handsome Harrison).

Surprisingly, Rubi was very gentle with the baby and even offered him slices of apples throughout the afternoon.

We had a wonderful time with the baby, we were even allowed to hold the baby without Rubi throwing a tantrum.

Pumpkin Patch.

Rubi feeding the barn animals, one pellet at a time.

Grammy helped Rubi find her coat pockets...which was very exciting (she's two, yes this excites her).

Mom and Rubi riding the cow train...yes, a cow train.

Dad's favorite part of the pumpkin patch.

Climbing to the top of what i would call a hay castle?!? When they made it to the top, Rubi realized she was on the top of a very large pile of hay and wanted off.

enjoying the tractor ride.

picking the perfect baby pumpkin.

(Mom, Aunt Katye, Grammy, and Rubi).

Grandpop pulling Rubi to the register, a picture perfect end to a fun day at the Roba Family Farm.

POOP.

Monday night Rubi pooped for the first time on the potty. When Neil and I were jumping up and down over this huge accomplishment, Rubi said "Stop, I smell".

She has been doing really well going to the bathroom lately. To encourage her even more, we took some of Grammy's advice and bought a bunch of small "prizes" (stickers, jewelry, books) and put them in a bag...when Rubi goes on the potty she gets to pick a gift out of the bag.

No pictures of the poop itself, Neil discouraged me from taking them, thankfully.

Day trip.

Friday, we took a trip to the Aquarium in Baltimore.

After the aquarium we let Rubi pick out anything she wanted from the gift shop...she grabbed this turtle and has not put it down.

We finished the day with some much needed ice cream.

On a side note, Rubi used the potty the entire time we were in Baltimore. We're hoping it doesn't take a trip out of state to make potty training successful.
