fun in the sun.

Rubi riding off into the sunset, on her barbie bike.

(this slide is much higher than it looks, which clearly explains the terror on my face.)

where in the world is Rubi?

I'm sorry i haven't posted anything in awhile, but we have an excuse...we're house hunting. It has consumed our lives. In fact, the most recent picture of Rubi is from an open house.

i promise to start posting again, even if it's just pictures of Rubi in a complete stranger's home.

park weather

The weather this past week was so nice we were able ( finally) to go to the park.

Visitors

Denzel and Alex came by to say hello over the weekend...needless to say Rubi really enjoyed the visit.

Uncle D shared some of his best dance moves with Rubi, Rubi then showed Denzel she really didn't need help in the dancing department.

second hair cut

Finally, the time has come Rubi needed a second hair cut (it's been almost a year since her first). So, again we went to the expert Aunt Nancy.

As you can see, Aunt Nancy knows a thing or two about cutting the hair of a two year old...like i said before expert.

It was quick and painless, I'm not sure that Rubi even knows she had her hair cut.

22 months?!?

When people ask how old Rubi is, it always makes me really sad to say...22 months. This baby will be TWO in 2 months. At 22 months, Rubi is a very independent little girl (for the most part). She decides what she'll eat, drink and snack on (with in reason). If she doesn't like the outfit or shoes I've selected for her, she lets me know.

Neil and I think she may even have a touch the the TERRIBLE TWO's. She enjoys run far from us in any store, she loves to scream and point into the kitchen; just to see if we can figure out what she wants, she often wakes up in the middle of the night pointing down to the living room crying "sponge bob".

Rubi can now put a few words together, sort of saying a sentence...her favorite of course is "Daddy stinky" (i also enjoy that one). She still loves books, coloring, dressing up in her beads and tutus, bath time, and of course Yo Gabba Gabba.

Sunday at 7:00 is our favorite time with Rubi. We watch America's Funniest Home Videos. Rubi loves this show, and we love it because it's hysterical watching it with her. She laughs with us and the audience, even though I'm not sure she knows what she's laughing at.

Rubi will also be moving to the "big kids room" at school by the end of this month, that means playing outside at during recess, (and not in a tiny gazebo with babies, scary i know), doing a lot more art projects, and eventually going on field trips (ahhh).
