YO!

Rubi loves learning about shapes and colors, in fact her new favorite word is circle (obviously).

Rubi recognizes the colors pink and black (and also says ew when shown the color orange), she also recognizes stars and circles. Rubi loves the color pink. This morning she pointed back at her crib and yelled "pinky", which i suppose is what she will now refer to her prized blanket as.

Rubi's vocabulary has grown tremendously, she also knows some sign language...which makes understanding her a little easier. Her new favorite answer (TO EVERY SINGLE QUESTION) is "yo", a clever mix of yes and no...making it almost impossible to know whether or not she wants to eat, put on her shoes, or go to sleep.

the conversation goes something like this,

us: Rubi would you like to take a tub?
rubi: YOO

us: Rubi would you like some juice?
rubi: YOOOO

us: Rubi would you like some vegtables?
rubi: YO!

(you get the idea)

she is a very smart little girl...lucky us.

DAA'AD

When Rubi realizes her pleas for her father to stop dancing aren't working, she plays dead.

(this happens on a daily basis)

four wheel massacre

I know it's sounds like our little angel is laughing hysterically as she attempts to run me over,

but that couldn't be, right?

Saint Rubi...never.

she is...

We now spend most nights, as a family, dancing to whatever Rubi decides is a worthy song. She even knows what button to push on the remote to start a track...

which isn't as amusing the 30th time around.

can you say bite?

It is very difficult to get Rubi on camera anymore. I think recording every moment of her infancy has really scarred this child. Which explains while the posts on this blog are so far apart.

This is a video of Rubi saying her favorite words, sorry for the delay. We will try our hardest to get Rubi used to the camera again.

No sleep...

Rubi has been extremely restless at night. At 8:00 sharp, she's rubbing her eyes and begging to go to bed. For some reason, every single night Rubi will wake up at least 2-3 times. As you could imagine this effects Mom & Dad, and our ability to keep our eyes open at work.

We thought a binky would be the solution to this problem. Rubi has never really gotten the hang of the binky. And as you can clearly see in these pictures, she still doesn't really get it. She usually chews on it, off to one side in her mouth (like she's chewing a cigar).
