Rubi's new best friend

Rubi gravitated toward her cousin Kayla over the weekend. Wherever Kayla went Rubi followed. It usually takes time for Rubi to warm up to family she hasn't seen in a while...but when Kayla walked through the door, you could tell Rubi knew a good friend was stopping by.

the ketchup MONSTER!

Our child, once again is on a hunger strike. On this particular strike Rubi will still eat...hot dogs, ketchup, sweet potato french fries, ketchup, rice, ketchup (she'll also lick everything you give her, and politely put it back). We've recently learned that Rubi thinks ketchup is a real food, and that she can eat large quantities and still smile. We're just happy she's eating more than just bread....but eating that much ketchup does something strange to Rubi (as seen in the video below).

first day of fall

Today was the first day of fall, and in NE PA that means sweaters, falling leaves and great weather for the park.

Neil and I took turns going down the bigger slides with Rubi, which she really enjoyed.

yes, we went down the slide...you could hear my screams all throughout laflin.

sick day...

Today Rubi wasn't feeling well, so Daddy stayed home with her. In the middle of the day, after lunch and a nap, Neil decided to take Rubi to the park....

when i got home from work, Neil let me know that he took her to the park...and he did her hair all by himself, and even managed to take some pictures.

(please don't make me go out like this, Dad.)

If Rubi never lets Dad touch her hair again, i wouldn't blame her.
