The slide wasn't her favorite activity at the park...

Rubi is very temperamental these days...one day she loves the swing, the next she's terrified. But she always loves watching kids play at the park...so as long as the swing isn't in motion she's content....

...but once the swinging starts moving she wants out!!

80 degree day

On Friday we decided to go for a bike ride. Rubi never seemed to enjoy these rides, she would usually slouch to the side and close her eyes...until the day daddy suggested we remove the netting that is in place to protect her from bugs. Rubi now holds on to the front bar with her tongue out and to the side, smiling and shouting the entire trip. Rubi has also starting drinking ice cold water from squirt bottles, whole milk, and eating cherrioes and bread.

saturday mornings

I think Rubi enjoys breakfast because she loves playing with food. And just by her reaction to the word "no", i think she may hear it a lot at daycare...just a hunch.

It's here!

Finally she started crawling! Like nearly every milestone Rubi reaches, this too is just between her & mommy. Daddy walked in the door about 10 min. after this video was shot and Rubi decided she didn't want to crawl anymore (it's a good thing i taped it)!

we need gates!

Rubi is exactly 11 months old today....and this morning she decided it was time to crawl! Mom got it all on video!

big day

Picture day has finally arrived! We just had Rubi's picture's taken for her first birthday invitations. What a huge decision. She really did a great job when the pictures were being taken...no crying or screaming. A lot of laughing and clapping her hands.



Only 33 days until Rubi celebrates her first birthday!

sunday....

Rubi did a wonderful job at her first flea market. She was very content just being pushed around and occasionally smiling at the vendors...i think this may be our new sunday tradition.
